Neurodegenerative Diseases: Emerging Mechanisms and Therapeutic Opportunities
A selection examining molecular, cellular, clinical, and translational aspects of neurodegeneration. The collection features studies of genetic variants and plasma biomarkers associated with Alzheimer’s disease, as well as analyses of the pathophysiology of neurodegeneration and preclinical validation of novel therapeutics. The collection also includes several articles investigating how changes in neuronal cell biology, such as mitochondrial stress and alterations in cell signaling and trafficking pathways, impact synaptic function and neuronal survival.
This special collection coincides with the JCB–JEM symposium on Neurodegeneration “Neurodegenerative Diseases: Emerging Mechanisms and Therapeutic Opportunities” . We welcome your feedback on social media @JCellBiol and @JExpMed.
