Immune Cell Biology 2026
This collection presents recent advances in the cell biology of immune cells, including macrophages, B cells, dendritic cells and neutrophils. Featured articles explore how macrophage phagocytosis and trogocytosis are regulated via target cell adhesion and how mechanotransduction affects the B cell immune synapse. The collection further includes work on host-pathogen interactions, such as the role of a bacterial mitophagy receptor in suppressing immune responses, as well as new insights into neutrophil chemotaxis and mechanisms underlying dendritic cell migration and polarity. We hope these contributions will engage scientists across diverse areas of immunology with a shared interest in cell biology.
