Autophagy 2026

This collection highlights recent advances in autophagy research. It includes contributions that elucidate the role of ATG 9 in autophagosome formation or the regulation of lysosomal function, and that examine the importance of LC3 interacting regions. Articles in this collection focus on mechanisms of selective autophagy involving Rab GTPases; mitophagy mediated by SNX10, bacterial CipB, or the receptors BNIP3 and NIX; as well as PEX14-mediated or p97 ATPase-dependent regulation of pexophagy. By addressing a variety of autophagy-related processes, we hope this collection engages a wide audience of researchers in the field.
