JEM has been a pioneer in many fields, including the cross-over between metabolism and immunity. We are pleased to present a special collection featuring original research articles, brief definitive reports, and reviews published at JEM in the last 12 months covering a broad range of topics including oxidative metabolism in tumor-associated macrophages (TAMs), nutrition uptake and communication network changes under different diets, protein synthesis in T cells and amino acid usage in ILCs, as well as repurposing a tricyclic antidepressant as a fatty acid uptake inhibitor for cancer treatment. Original research on transcriptional network changes and lysosomal inhibition signaling are also featured.
