(a). The bacillus isolated by me from the outbreak of choleraic diarrhœa corresponds closely in all essential particulars with that of European chicken cholera.

(b). It differs, consequently, from that isolated from previous outbreaks of choleraic diarrhœa in the United States.

(c). A study of the acid production by this and allied bacilli would seem to show that the amount of acid produced by so variable a microbe varies greatly and is incapable of affording a further means of distinguishing between allied forms.
