Take Advantage of the Read-and-Publish Agreement between the European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL) and RUP Journals

The European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL) unlimited Read-and-Publish transformative agreement with Rockefeller University Press (RUP) covers RUP's three hybrid journals: Journal of Cell Biology (JCB), Journal of Experimental Medicine (JEM), and Journal of General Physiology (JGP). The agreement runs from January 1, 2023 to December 31, 2025.

How researchers immediately benefit from the agreement:

• Read: Unlimited access to all content published in JCB, JEM, and JGP immediately after publication.
• Publish: 100% coverage of the Immediate Open Access fees on any accepted manuscript when the primary corresponding author is based at a participating institution. There is no limit to the number of articles that may be published as a part of the deal.

Open Access research articles are published under a CC-BY license, directly deposited to PubMed Central (PMC) and subsequently to Europe PMC, and archived in LOCKSS/CLOCKSS.

Eligible EMBL sites include:

• European Molecular Biology Laboratory, Heidelberg
• European Bioinformatics Institute
• European Molecular Biology Laboratory, Grenoble
• European Molecular Biology Laboratory, Rome
• European Molecular Biology Laboratory, Hamburg
• European Molecular Biology Laboratory, Barcelona

How authors can take advantage of the agreement:

• The primary corresponding author must be affiliated with the European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL) and the author must publish under this affiliation.
• The article must be accepted between January 1, 2023 and December 31, 2025.
• Authors who publish in RUP journals always retain copyright ownership or have the ability to set the copyright owner as their institutions when required.
