Intermediate Filaments 2025
This collection explores recent advances in intermediate filament research, focusing on lamins, keratins and vimentin intermediate filaments. It features tools for rapid vimentin perturbation, dynamic studies of single vimentin intermediate filaments, and new findings on the nuclear lamina—including its interactions with telomeres in germ cells or disruptions in the nuclear lamina caused by nuclear aggregates. It further covers novel insights into the desmosome and how a glycosylation regulator affects keratin organization and desmosomal adhesion in keratinocytes. Covering a broad spectrum of topics, this collection aims to engage researchers with various interests in the intermediate filament field.
