Effect of natural compounds on nicotine-mediated activity of Arg1. HMC3 cells containing Arg1 reporter plasmid were cultured in the presence or absence of nicotine (1 µM) and/or each natural compound for 24 h. These cells were then examined for direct effect of compound on nicotine-mediated activity of Arg1 reporter (n = 4/group).
