Polymerized mastigoneme filaments have various interfaces. (A) The dimeric interfaces are composed of interactions of SDAa-c–SDBa-c and IgA6–IgB6. Three notable interaction sites may play a key role in the overall organization of adjacent MST1 subunits: F202A inserted into a hydrophobic pocket of the other subunit, a salt bridge between R206A and E1282B, and hydrophobic interactions around F126A, P148A, and L1341B.
