Phosphatidylserine (PS) is adjacent to, but not overlapping with, the annexin A6 repair cap. (A) Myofibers were coelectroporated with plasmids expressing annexin A6 (A6) tagged with mCherry (red) and Lact-C2 representing PS and tagged with GFP (green) to visualize annexin A6 and PS translocation simultaneously. By 20 s postinjury, the annexin A6–rich cap was visualized (top, arrowhead). With membrane disruption, PS was concentrated in the plasma membrane juxtaposed, but not colocalized, with the annexin A6–rich cap (arrow). Both proteins continued to accumulate through 110 s of imaging.
