Cholesterol enrichment affects dye distribution time. Dye distribution time for Alexa 10 kD dextran and DiI were measured as the time between pH trigger and the onset of dye distribution (mean F above F₀). Waiting times were measured as the interval of time between pH trigger and the electrophysiological detection of fusion pore conductance (n > 5).
