Comparison of fit parameters with true parameters as a start vector. In the bar graphs, the fitted parameters, xi, are compared with the true parameters, xi,tr. For each model, 1,000 fits were performed. As a starting vector, the true parameters were used (gray bars). The data points were de novo generated for each fit. Despite taking the true values as the start vector, part of the fits failed. The number of successful fits is given by n. Means and standard deviations of these fits are shown. The mean relative standard deviations σi,rel of 1,000 fits, ipri,1000 (Eq. 11), below the bar graphs indicate the relative errors of each parameter. The ochre lines and numbers right specify the overall ipri,1000 value for each model and the dashed red line the level of 0.1, i.e., the 10% error.
