The attenuation of NO-induced airway relaxation by inhibitors of sGC and PKG activity. (A) The effect of 5 µM ODQ, a sGC inhibitor, on airway relaxation induced by NOC-5. The airway, contracted with 5-HT, relaxed in response to NOC-5 in the absence but not in the presence of ODQ. (B) The effect of 20 µM Rp-8-pCPT-cGMPS, a PKG inhibitor, on airway relaxation induced by NOC-5. Airway relaxation induced by NOC-5 was reduced by Rp-8-pCPT-cGMPS.
