Effect of increasing bath Mg²⁺ concentration on whole cell current amplitude and E_rev in the presence of 1 mM Ca²⁺. No significant (P > 0.3) shift in E_rev or inward current was detected when Mg²⁺ concentration was raised fourfold to 20 mM. Values are means ± SEM (n = 4).
