The effect of blocking RILP cleavage on LPS/ATP-induced exosomal miRNA.
(A) Mock-transfected THP-1 cells and ncRILP-expressing THP-1 cells were treated with LPS/ATP. Exosomes were isolated, and their miRNA content was assessed by PCR array. Data are shown as the miR enrichment in ncRILP-expressing exosomes over mock, LPS/ATP-treated. The majority of miRs were unchanged by ncRILP expression. However, several miRs were down-regulated, while others were up-regulated by ncRILP. (B) The expression of cRILP alone leads to the enrichment of several proinflammatory miRNAs within the exosome.
