Gel electrophoresis of lysates prepared from carp muscle (white trunk muscle), mouse EDL muscle from WT (25 super-repeats), genetically altered mice expressing 22 or 28 nebulin super-repeats, and human skeletal muscle (vastus lateralis) with 29 nebulin super-repeats. The nebulin region of the gel is also shown on an expanded scale at the bottom. The mobility of nebulin varies inversely with the number of super-repeats.
