Antiviral IgM localizes within the conduit system of reactive LNs. VSV-specific VI10YEN B cells were adoptively transferred in antibody-deficient DHLMP2A mice. Recipients were either infected s.c. with VSV in the footpad or left untreated. 4 and 7 d later, reactive (popliteal) and steady state LNs were harvested. Mice that were not adoptively transferred with B cells served as controls. Sections were stained for collagen IV, B220, and IgM and analyzed by confocal microscopy.
