(2001): Dextran, reduced filament spacing by osmotic compression with 2.5% dextran in skinned muscle preparation; Mech, mechanical protocol; Trypsin, skinned muscle preparations in which the titin had been degraded by 0.25 mg/ml trypsin for 25 min at 25°C. In all simulations, k–bind = 7.41 s−1 is used. Number of bound cross-bridges per half myosin filament denoted as # XB. Total number of crossbridges per half myosin filament is 150.
