The wet weight of different rat skeletal muscle tissues expressed in mg and the calculated [CaT]WM expressed in mmole/kg are summarized here. Mean ± SEM.
Two-way ANOVA was conducted on four groups of [CaT]WM values measured with or without TPEN addition in soleus or plantaris to determine which variable—TPEN addition (variable 1) and/or muscle types (variable 2)—was significant. TPEN addition (variable 1) was found to be significant (P < 0.01); n = 3 for each muscle type. No significant difference was found for muscle type.
