Data were obtained from 10 different publications listed in the references of this paper. Each of them was selected for reporting the results of measurements of the content of [3H]ouabain-binding sites as well as α2-subunit abundance in the same muscle. Experimental details are given in the cited articles. The relative changes induced by the listed factors are given in percentages. Biopsies from human subjects were taken from the vastus lateralis muscle. The rat muscles were obtained from the hind limbs.
