The discrete-state Markov models used to reproduce experimental data shown in Fig. 8 are parameterized with standard rate transitions: a*exp(−Vm/b). The second parameter, b, which confers voltage dependence to the rate, is only required for DI and DII sensor immobilization. Parameters for the forward and reverse rate transitions between states A and I1, states I1 and I2, and states I2 and I3 for each of the voltage-sensor domains.
