Relative exocytosis was calculated for the first 3 min after application of agonist treatment in the absence or presence of FSK (1 μM) or VIP (0.1 μM). Concentrations of reagents: ionomycin (1 μM), thapsigargin (1 μM), H-89 (30 μM), and Rp-8-Br-cAMPS (1 mM). *, P < 0.05, **, P < 0.005 significantly different compared to UTP or trypsin alone at the same concentrations. For ionomycin, we compared the values with and without FSK. #, P < 0.05, ##, P < 0.005 significantly different compared to 2 μM UTP + FSK. ###, P < 0.005 significantly different compared to 0.1 μM trypsin + FSK. n is the number of cells.
