Nucleoplasmic aa was calculated for untagged proteins using transmembrane predictions from TMHMM v2.0. If the GFP fusion was predicted to be nucleoplasmic, then the total predicted aa with linker sizes plus GFP residues is included in parentheses.
Calculations were determined entirely by TMHMM prediction.
Calculations were modified based on direct testing of membrane/C-terminus topology through GFP antibody accessibility in digitonin permeabilized cells.
