 For the final transitions in Scheme 2+2′, all parameters are equal to the final estimates given in Table I for Scheme 0+2′ except for the partial charge q αN-1 = 0.75 and V2's rates αN-1(0) = 3800, βN-1(0) = 19000, and αN(0) = 3800.  

 The parameter c reflects a small amount of cooperative interaction, which has been introduced into S0↔ S1, as shown in Scheme I.
