Call for Papers: Mechanotransduction by Membrane Proteins
You are invited you to submit papers on the topic of Mechanotransduction by Membrane Proteins. Papers submitted by November 1, 2021 and accepted will be published throughout the year and highlighted in a special issue. Guest editors of the special issue are Valeria Vásquez, Associate Professor at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center; Elizabeth S. Haswell, Professor of Biology at Washington University in St. Louis; and Miriam B. Goodman, Professor and Chair of Molecular and Cellular Physiology at Stanford University. They will be assisted in handling the reviews of submitted manuscripts by JGP Associate Editors Jeanne Nerbonne and Crina Nimigean.
JGP welcomes submissions that focus on fundamental insights into the structure and function of membrane proteins that transduce mechanical stimuli into cellular signals; the cellular function of mechanosensitive proteins that are fundamental to the physiology of animals, plants, and microbes; and cutting-edge approaches to evaluating membrane-bound mechanical processes.
Submissions of Research Articles, Communications, Hypotheses, or Methods and Approaches are specifically invited, in any format. JGP will waive the publication fee of $2,000 for these special issue articles if submitted by the deadline of November 1, 2021. During the submission process, please indicate that this is for the Mechanotransduction by Membrane Proteins special issue.
