Cover picture: Snapshot of a reduced model of a selectivity filter of an L-type calcium channel that fits a surprising range of data although it has no preformed binding sites. The filter contains eight half-charged oxygens (red, radius 1.4 Å) , representing EEEE side chains mobile within the filter.
