The geotropic orientation of Rattus rattus (roof rat) obeys the equations previously found applicable for Rattus norvegicus. The former is more sensitive, geotiopically, and the numerical values of the constants in the equations for the two forms are found to differ significantly. Certain consequences of this difference are pointed out.
