On page 65, Vol. XXVII, No. 1, January 1, 1918, the last two sentences of the second paragraph should read: The difference between the total capacity and the middle capacity (all that can be breathed in after a half expiration) is called the "complementary air."2 The difference between middle capacity and residual air (all that can be breathed out after a half expiration) is called the "reserve air."
